Terms of Service
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the website at coolassmike.com ("Site") or engaging the services of Michael Bowers / CoolassMike ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use this Site or engage our services.
2. Services Offered
Michael Bowers (operating as CoolassMike) provides professional services including but not limited to:
- Event emcee and hosting
- Panel moderation and facilitation
- Professional speaking and keynotes
- Wingman and social coaching services
- AV equipment rental and event support
- Brand facilitation and spokesperson services
All services are provided subject to a separate written service agreement signed by both parties prior to the engagement.
3. Booking & Payment
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to reserve your event date. The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days prior to the event. All payments must be received before services are rendered. We accept payment via check, bank transfer, or other methods specified in your service agreement.
4. Cancellation Policy
- 60+ days before event: 10% of the total contract value is retained.
- 14–59 days before event: 50–75% of the total contract value is retained, based on rescheduling feasibility.
- Under 14 days before event: 100% of the total contract value is retained.
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Rebooking within 90 days of cancellation may be accommodated at our discretion.
5. Travel & Expenses
- Travel within 50 miles of Woodland Hills, CA is included at no charge.
- Travel between 50–100 miles is billed at $0.50/mile.
- National travel (100+ miles) requires reimbursement of all travel, lodging, and meal expenses plus a $150/day per diem.
- International travel requires reimbursement of all travel, lodging, and meal expenses plus a $300/day per diem and a 20% international premium.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site — including text, logos, images, and design — is the property of Michael Bowers / CoolassMike and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Michael Bowers / CoolassMike shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this Site or our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim.
8. Force Majeure
We shall not be held liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, illness, pandemics, government orders, or venue cancellations. In such cases, we will work in good faith to reschedule the engagement.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
